Ongley pond is a pond surrounded by a field and forest which is perfect habitat for fireflies.

The fireflies emerged from the forest and tall grass and moved towards the pond as night progressed.

B. Mallard Marsh

The fireflies at this location emerged from the tall grass throughout the swamp and from the forest surrounding the swamp. As the night progressed, the fireflies spread out across the marsh.

C. Cranberry Pond
The location that was sampled at this area was a marsh surround the pond that was bordered by a coniferous forest.

The fireflies in this area seemed to emerge from the forest and spread out into the marsh and pond.

This spot is a pond that is surrounded by mixed forests.

Only 3 fireflies were observed at this site.

E.  Haight Parcel

Fireflies at the this site were observed along the path.

F. Cat Swamp
Cat swamp is found at the end of a trail that winds through a mixed forest. The swamp is extremely dense.

This site had a low number of observable fireflies. There appeared to be the same number of individuals in the swamp and along the trail.
